About the Hall
Chapmanslade Village Hall is set in the beautiful surroundings or the Chapmanslade Memorial Recreation Field which was donated to the village in the early 20th century by the landowner in memory of the villagers who lost their lives during the first world war.
For many years the village had a wooden hut, affectionately named 'The Hut' for all of it's functions and activities. In 1974 the new village hall replaced the Hut after years of real community effort raising the funds to build the hall.
For more than 50 years the hall has hosted a vast variety of community activities, sports, parties, plays, pantomimes, clubs, groups, meetings and so much more.
During those years there has been continual improvement to the hall facilities that make the hall what it is today.
